SL15B part Deux

There was a call out on one of the stages cause a performer didn’t show. (uhoh)  It was for 8am to 10 am and I would have done it, except mom’s taxi was doing the magic schoolbus thang.  I got back just in time for a second call out on another stage for an hour.

Since I had credentials for yesterday, and told them which stream info I had, I could play for them.  I was told by Ingy that they don’t use that stream on the Main Stage.  They used a different set of streams and I was given those credentials. A quick plug into my encoders, and I hit play with a couple of instrumentals.

“Stay live,” I was told, by one of the people I was handed off to.

So I did.

Spitfire was right behind me and at it with me.  An hour fill in… Okay, so thinking quick, what could I present to them?

I love the Molson Canadian Anthem.  It makes me so very proud to be Canadian.
Bryan Adams, hometown boy.  Susan Aglukark – wonderful Inuit storyteller with her songs.  And Carly Rae’s bubbly personality in this song really shines through.

And of course my “taunt the Americans thrice song” with Tim Hicks’ “Stronger Beer.” Apparently “sucker” is not G rated, but “piss drunk” is.  Time for a bit of quick editing or to see if I can find a “clean” version.

Paul Gross – this song cause I couldn’t find “Edmund Fitzgerald” and this song is loosely based on that ghostship story.  They couldn’t get the rights to the “Edmund” song for Due South, so they wrote their own.

And an instrumental of Carly Rae’s “Run Away With Me” so that the next entertainer could start on time.

Once again, the SL15B staff were not only On The Ball, they were wonderful.
